Soul's Remnant Playa PQ: Location, Puzzles & Rewards
Soul's Remnant Playa PQ (Beach party quest) location, the hidden flower-door entrance, shell collection, slime counting and barrel puzzles plus drops.
Updated Aug 19, 2026
The Playa PQ is Soul's Remnant's Beach party quest — a repeatable, party-sized minigame that lives behind a hidden map. You reach it through a secret entrance disguised as blue flowers, pay a normal dungeon ticket, then work through a shell collection, a jumping puzzle, a slime-counting question, and a barrel puzzle straight out of classic MapleStory. Here is how to find it and what to expect inside.
How to get to the Beach Hunting Ground
The party quest entrance sits on the Beach Hunting Ground, a hidden map filed under Beach Maps and Hidden Maps on the official wiki. You will not stumble into it the way you find Plains or Forest. The exact route: travel to Around the Seashore, move to the center of that room where the portal to Outskirts North is, look at the platform above and to the right of that portal, and interact with the secret entrance disguised as blue flowers. If you only see the Outskirts North portal, that is the decoy — the real door is the flower patch on the upper-right platform. If you cannot reach Around the Seashore yet, open the world map with M and search "Seashore" or "Beach"; Goddess Statues are the long-range warp once unlocked.
Starting the party quest
Inside the Beach Hunting Ground, walk right, climb the purple coral platforms (press Up, or Blink/Dash), and talk to the Shepherd NPC on the upper platform. Give him a normal dungeon ticket and he takes you into the first area. Party quests in Soul's Remnant are worth doing even for non-combat professions, and this one can be repeated for rewards.
The puzzles in order
- Shell collection — your party kills enemies and collects blue shells; party leaders should have their pickup key bound (one player reported R). This room is very reminiscent of MapleStory's Kerning City PQ.
- Jumping puzzle — only one party member needs to complete it; when someone does, the door at the bottom opens for everyone.
- Slime-counting question — the NPC asks how many slimes you leave alive on each platform. The left platform's survivors are the first digit, the right platform's are the second, and the maximum number of echoes an item can have is four. So the usual answer is kill all slimes on the left (0) and leave 4 alive on the right (04). One player recommends a single-target skill like the ninja star so you do not accidentally wipe the wrong platform.
- Barrel puzzle — the final puzzle is the classic three-barrel combination test, exactly like the Kerning City party quest barrel room. Test combinations by moving players between barrels while someone interacts with the NPC; the only difference is these barrels are unlabeled.
After the barrel puzzle, drop down, kill the slime, hand the item to the party leader, collect rewards, and run it again. The party quest drops a slime hat with a reported 4.5% drop chance — a decent level 15 equip, though nothing game-breaking, and one player noted hopes for future transmog use.
What else is on the Beach map
The hidden map itself is a gathering spot: the wiki lists coconut, coconut wood, and sea grapes for forage; quartz and stone for mining; and a long shore list — clam, seaweed, exotic tuna, ice salmon, starfish, clownfish, eelectray, and glowfish — for fishing. Fishing is a minigame: press the fishing skill, land the bobber, wait for the yellow exclamation, press the skill again, then keep the fish in the gray box with Left and Right.
Watch the name confusion
Launch-week grind guides send early players to "Beach Hunting Grounds" (plural) for Cloudsheep at level 12 — that name is one letter different from this hidden map. If a video says "Beach Hunting Grounds," it may mean the regular Cloudsheep maps, not the flower-door secret.
